Where does the time go?

Oh, yeah, I spend it looking at this sweet face! It's been a busy week so far. We were invited to a baby shower on Monday for a former coworker at Prairie Ridge. Her little boy was born the day after Lachlan, so that was fun! To see everyone and both sweet babies together was a treat. I made up some fancy burp cloths for baby Tyler by sewing Amy Butler polka dots to the edge of 3 prefolded diapers.

Grandma A. came over to visit for a few days from Des Moines, which was great. Bill's out of town this week, so it was so nice to have her here to help take care of both of us. :) Everyone wants to make sure that I am getting enough rest, but honestly, I think your body just adjusts to being a new mom. It is so nice that we get to make our own schedule right now, so there are lots of lazy mornings and afternoon naps, which is definitely helping to keep me rested.
Now that Grandma has headed home, we are having a quiet evening. L was up for much of the day, so that makes for a sleepy night for him. I'm enjoying the down time with some ice cream, watching "So You Think You Can Dance" and working on a few layouts with newly printed photos. Hopefully another update coming your way soon - hoping the rain will hold up a little so that we can get out and enjoy the art festival in Iowa City this weekend!
