Summer mini-album 2011
She's on vacation right now but you can also find a great summer mini kit from elisejoy. I always get great mini book inspiration from Elise's blog.
I'm adding in the summer pages from my letterpress calendar by ilee papergoods so that I can still enjoy them.
Adding in papers and stickers from my stash, especially the Playground line by Echo Park. Love love love.
The alphabet stamp set is from Michael's. They have a bunch of mini sets for only $1 each ($1 for the whole alphabet! I picked up... several.)
Printing most of my photos at home with my Epson Picturemate that prints 4"x6" photos and smaller.
This kind of project is fun because I can add one page at a time, or I can do like I did this weekend and do a bunch, catch-up style. Fun to add a little ephemera as well. I'm finding spots for a movie ticket (Super 8 - recommend!), a concert ticket (Huey Lewis & the News - fun but didn't live up to my high expectations) and Lachlan's first baseball game ticket (I-Cubs vs. Memphis Redbirds).
Here's a link to last summer's mini, which I still love.

Our 4th of July in photos
mmm, fresh blueberry turnovers. recipe
hand-stitching my fabric states for the wall hanging I'm making. Gonna take awhile...
Family walk in the afternoon
L's first sparklers
We watched Charlie Brown Christmas (seemed appropriate to Lachlan?) on dvd and the fireworks in Washington, DC on Iptv.
Also, my good intentions for spending the morning of the 4th getting my garden in shape were squashed after about 15 minutes of work. I managed to clumsily step on a sharp garden tool (while barefoot) and puncture my right heel. Ouch! Not a terrible injury but I did make a trip to the doctor's office for a tetanus booster shot today. Lovely.

amid the Hollyhocks
We're having a lazy Sunday here, so I've spent some time on the couch with my laptop figuring out how to use Pioneer Woman's free actions in PSE. They are pretty neat, I'm glad I figured it out! I added the "Boost" action to all these Hollyhock photos, and a few more from the morning, which are on Flickr.
Then I used PSE to make this collage of photos. I may print it out and slap it on a 12"x12" piece of cardstock for a simple scrapbook page! The font is Pea Elise Joy and the little frames are from the border lines frame brushes set by Nisa Fiin.
