new layouts

The Reminisce gals came over to scrapbook last Thursday and I started some layouts... just getting around to finishing them up. So many cute baby photos, so little time! As we were working last week, Lisa called from Reminisce and asked Deb and Jess to come take photos. Such a sad way for the store to come to a close... Video of the clean up is here.

Having some fun with iMovie - it's so easy and quick to make a silly movie!

Saturday Gratitude

Ali posted on Thursday about things she is thankful for right now - that's something I've been thinking about alot this week in the face of all this terrible flooding. I have so much to be thankful for.
  • A happy, healthy baby boy
  • Being able to spend 4 months all day every day bonding with baby L.
  • Having our families close enough to see on a regular basis
  • Beautiful weather this week that inspired me to actually get out and work in our yard
  • A home that is safe and dry
  • A hubby that appreciates what I do and works hard to provide for us
  • the fact that my AppleCare plan covered the replacement of my rotten hard drive
Working on being outside a little bit today and trying to rebuild the contents and layout on the MacBook. And a fair amount of time for snuggling and chatting and playing with Photobooth with Lachlan.

So sad

Stopped by Reminisce today to pick up some layouts and other stuff I
had left there, and to get some solid color cardstock, in anticipation
of not being able to run over and grab it once they're gone. Still
feeling quite sad, especially for Lisa and the other Reminisce
employees having to deal with the large mess of closing down all
aspects of the store (not to mention the impending floodwater).

Also having a not-so-small panic attack because my MacBook froze up
this morning and will now only show me a dismal looking screen with a
question mark on it. I'll be taking it to the Mac doctor on Friday -
Thank goodness for the iPhone until then. Keep your fingers crossed
that I'll be able to recover my photos at the very least!

I'm sure that my laptop woes are very insignificant compared to the
loss of property that is and will continue to happen all around us due
to the flooding this week, so I am certainly counting my blessings
that we are high enough to be dry.
